The Delta radar is used in the military acquisition and tracking systems of aerial, ground and surface targets, loops of air defense systems, observation systems of air and ground situation in the zone of location of particularly important objects, and also in the monitoring systems of economic and customs zones.

The system can detect small targets on range up to 20 km. Thus the effective acquisition range of the system is 100 km at a height of 3 km. Delta can simultaneously follow up to 50 targets. The readiness time needed for a changeover from travel position to fire position is not more than 2 minutes.

Unique algorithms and software, developed by Ukrainian specialists, form the basis for the mobile radar system. In particular they ensure high competitive advantages against analogical foreign products, along with the usage of the most modern elemental base from the leading world producers. The design of the radar system can be closely adapted for the needs and requests of the customer.

According to Yurii Radchenko, the Director of the Division of Radar, Radio Communication and Air Defense Systems, lots of foreign and native customers show high interest to Delta Radar System. He noticed that Delta Radar System has been passed into service in Ukraine and as of today several samples of the station had been supplied for the State Frontier Service of Ukraine.

The difference between radar systems for export and for internal use is just the variations of the decisions of adaptation to communication data processing systems, which are used by the final customers.

The high-tech level and high technical indicators, which are the result of usage of special methods of signal forming and processing, are the advantages of Delta Radar System.. The radio locator weights around 100 kg, and its electricity consumption is not more than 500 W, what is too little for the stations of such class.

Y. Radchenko also said that such indicators allow using the radar station as a mobile one, installing it on the different types of vehicles – automobile, armored personnel carriers or on the wide range of marine vehicles. The system is simple in the maintenance and can be operated by one person.
