The two ministers discussed the expansion of the current technical cooperation and professional partnership. Thailand is locally producing the Ukrainian BTR-3E1 armoured vehicle, which according to Mr P. Wongsuwan, is already deepening the bilateral defence relations. He also mentioned that Thailand might begin the joint production with Ukraine of other vehicles too.

Mr. P. Wongsuwon has made a proposal for the two sides to set up a working group that will focus on developing the bilateral  ties. It will be comprised of defence industry experts and other military and civilian personnel. These experts will open the way for the cooperation in new domains such as language training, common training, exchange of personnel and students and other similar initiatives. Mr. Stepan Poltorak was very supportive of the proposal and invited the Thai minister to visit Ukraine.
