According to information published by the German Government website on September 20, 2022, Germany will supply to Ukraine 6 more additional Gepard 35mm anti-aircraft self-propelled gun vehicles and 6,000 rounds of ammunition. It is 6 more compared to the first proposal of Germany.

Citing information from the German Government, under the 2022 budget process, the funds for the security capacity building initiative were increased to a total of 2 billion euros for the year 2022.
On September 11, 2022, Germany announced the delivery to Ukraine of 20 Gepard 35mm self-propelled anti-aircraft tracked armored vehicles. The first batch of 8 Gepard anti-aircraft vehicles was delivered in August 2022.
The Gepard is a mobile anti-aircraft gun system that is based on a Leopard 1 tank tracked armored chassis that entered into service with the German army in 1976 that it is no longer in service with the German army, but an undisclosed number of Gepard would have an undetermined number of vehicles are still in German army stocks.
The Gepard consists of a turret armed with two Oerlikon Contraves 35-mm KDA cannons mounted on a tracked chassis of the German-made Leopard 1 tank. These have a cyclic fire rate of 550 rounds, per barrel, per minute, with an effective firing range of about 3,500 m and more than 4,500 m with FAPDS (Frangible Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot) ammunition.
The Gepard can work as a fully autonomous air defense system thanks to its S-band search radar mounted at the rear of the turret and a Ku-band Doppler tracking radar fitted at the front of the turret which are able to detect and track aerial targets at a maximum range of 15 km.
