The Pars IV 6x6 is the latest variant of wheeled armored vehicles in the PARS family fully designed and manufactured by the Turkish company FNSS. The acquisition of the PARS IV Special Forces is part of the 6×6 Mine-Protected Vehicle MKKA Project.

The PARS MKKA Vehicle, which has been specially developed for the Turkish Special Forces Command, differs from its counterparts with some important features. The vehicle is designed using the technical specifications of existing PARS vehicles but fitted with additional armor to increase protection against hand-made explosive devices, survivability infrastructure including high mine and ballistic protection as well as counter IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) equipment.

According to Army Recognition editorial team analysis, the PARS IV Special Forces is fitted with two Remotely Operated Weapon Stations (ROWS) mounted on the roof of the vehicle. The ROWS located at the front of the roof seems to be armed with one 12.7mm machine while the second one is armed with one 7.62mm machine gun.

The first PARS IV Special Forces will be delivered to the Turkish security forces later this year. The initial delivery of the PARS IVs is expected to be made to the Special Forces.

According to information released during the latest edition of IDEF, a Turkish defense exhibition, 6x6 and 8x8 variants of the PARS will be delivered to different units of the Turkish Armed Forces and security forces.
