The new batch of vehicles is equipped with a combat module to control firing directly from AWV cabin, which allows firing outside the cab of the vehicle behind STANAG-1 level armor. This module was completely developed by the engineers of KPE design office.

The new Arlans now benefit from radiation, chemical and biological protection system (RCB). Filter-ventilation equipment of the vehicle is able to clean the air for several hours. The ergonomics for the crew has been improved, based on user feedback received from the troops. Of the whole vehicle, Kazakhstan parts represent 70%.

Along with this delivery, a new batch of Arlans was delivered to the special services of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These vehicles can be operated in a wide temperature range and are claimed to be able to reach speeds of up to 160 km/h.
