December 15, 2017, during the military parade rehearsal for the National Day of Qatar, Qatari armed forces have showcased latest acquisitions of combat vehicles including the 4x4 armoured vehicles Ejder Yalcın and NMS designed and manufactured by the Turkish Company Nurol Makina.

According to the Turkish news website Daily Sabah, the Turkish Company Nurol Makina would have sold approximately 400 Ejder Yalçın 4x4 armored combat vehicles, as well as more than a hundred NMS 4x4 light armored vehicles to Qatar.

A prototype Ejder Yalcin was unveiled in May 2013 during the defense exhibition IDEF in Turkey and in 2014 the Company Nurol Makina started the production of the vehicle. The latest version of the Ejder Yalcin 4x4 armoured was presented at the the defense Exhibition High-Tech Port in November 2016.

The Ejder Yalçin is based on a V-shaped hull design, integrating floating floor plates offering high level of protection against blast of land mines and IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices). The vehicle can also be fitted with additional ballistic armour and wire cage armour to increase protection against RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade) threats .

The Ejder Yalcin can accommodate a total of 11 military personnel including driver and commander. The roof of the vehicle can be fitted with remote-controlled or manually-operated weapon stations that can be armed with a machine gun up to 12.7mm caliber. The Qatari army Ejder Yalcim seems to be fitted with the Dual Weapons Stabilised Advanced Remote Weapon Platform (SARP) designed and manufactured by the Turkish Company Aselsan.

The hull of the Ejder Yalcin has a length of 5.42m, width of 2.48m and height of 2.3m. It has a gross weight from12,000kg and 14,000kg depending of the armour, and payload capacity of up to 4 tons.

The Turkish Company Nurol Makina has unveiled its new 4x4 tactical protected vehicle called NMS at IDEF 2017, the International Defense Exhibition in Turkey. The design of the vehicle is based on a monocoque body.

The Nurol Macina NMS has a length of 4.9 m, a width of 2.4 m and a height of 2.1m. The vehicle can carry a total of 9 people with seats for the driver and commander at the front and a second row of seats for three people. The rear cabin can also accommodate four passengers facing each other.

The design of the vehicle offers the possibility to increase the protection depending on mission requirements using scalable armour and composite materials. The vehicle has a total weight of 10,000 kg.

The Qatari army NMS 4x4 armoured are fitted with an unmanned Anti-Tank Missile Launching turret designed and manufactured by the Company Aselsan and anti-aircraft missile launching station.
