US troops start to be provided with Picatinny's new M252A1 81mm mortar system

Agrale starts deliveries of Marrua utility vehicles to the Namibia Defence Force
 
The Namibia Defence Force (NDF) has ordered 141 Marrua utility vehicles from Brazil’s Agrale, with deliveries already underway, reported Africa-focused website defenceWeb. Agrale sales director Flavio Crosa said in a release late last month that several Marruas were sent to Namibia in 2013 for demonstration purposes and that the Namibia Defence Force ordered the vehicle due to its robust design and durability.

ThalesRaytheonSystems to supply Ground Master 400 & mobile Ground Master 200 radars to France
 
ThalesRaytheonSystems has been awarded a contract by the DGA, the French defense procurement agency, to supply the French armed forces with 12 fixed Ground Master 400 radars and 4 mobile tactical Ground Master 200 radars. In addition to delivery and through-life support of the radars, the contract awarded on 8 December includes installation and civil engineering work for the 12 Ground Master 400 radars.

The legislation, H.R.3979, calls for the secretary of defense to conduct an assessment to identify opportunities for increasing missile defense cooperation with the two allies and evaluate options for enhanced short-range missile, rocket, and artillery defense capabilities to address threats from the Korean Peninsula.

The Russian airborne troops have completed military trial tests with latest generation of airborne infantry fighting vehicle BMD-4M. The tests included maneuverability, air mobility, floating and firing. Next year, the Russian paratroopers should receive the first batch of 64 vehicles. In August 2014, the Russian army has taken delivery of the first prototype of BMD-4M.

The Malaysian Army has taken delivery of the first 12 vehicles AV8 in armoured Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) variant. These 12 new vehicles are the first of the 257 units in twelve variants which will be delivered to the Malaysian Armed, developed and manufactured by the Defense Company Deftech in Malaysia.

According to idpsentinel website, Elbit Systems will compete in the tender for the Mounted Gun System of India, through its joint venture "Bharat Forge" with the Indian Company Kalyani. India published a RFI for the procurement of 814 155 mm/52 caliber mounted gun systems. Indian companies can also win the upgrade of M-46 Russian artillery guns, from 130 mm to 155 mm.

Royal Netherlands Army will take delivery of 1,667 Volkswagen Amarok tactical vehicles
 
The Netherlands Defence organisation on December 3rd took symbolic delivery of 1,667 new vehicles when the keys of the newly acquired Volkswagen Amaroks were handed over to the organisation. The symbolic handover ceremony was held at Camp New Amsterdam near Huis ter Heide. The vehicles themselves are to be delivered in the near future, according to an official statement.
