Cubic wins contract for combat training center equipment in the Asia Pacific Region.
Cubic Defense Systems, a subsidiary of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) announced today it has been awarded a contract in excess of $70 million from a customer in the Asia Pacific region for significant quantities of combat training center equipment.

Cubic designs, develops, manufactures, and provides a full range of virtual training devices for national military and security forces worldwide.

     
This latest order, from a long-term customer in the region, includes laser-based simulation equipment, vehicle kits, numerous weapon configurations, indirect fire assets, and support equipment. The contract incorporates a number of accessories, communication system components, after action review capabilities, and exercise control upgrades.

Engineering and production work for the contract will be performed in several locations including the company’s operations in Auckland, NZ, and in San Diego, CA. First deliveries will occur in late 2014 and continue through 2016.
