A family of laser and thermal imaging systems including:

The Rattler-A is an ultra-light, high-performance, high-reliability, Diode-Pumped Laser (DPL) designator, based on a new and unique A-thermal pumping architecture. The Rattler-A features advanced compact transmitter technology that reduces designator system size, weight and power consumption. The Rattler-A provides a rugged and ideal solution for small UAS electro-optic payloads. Small size, very light weight and Power (SWaP), in addition to A-thermal design ensures performance in harsh environments and makes the Rattler-A suitable for payloads as small as 6 inches.

JTAC-LTD now known as Serpent-M is a very lightweight, battery-powered laser target designator and marker small enough to be carried by foot-mobile war fighters. It will enable soldiers to designate targets for laser-guided bombs, missiles and other munitions. The Serpent-M incorporates the Elbit Systems high performance miniaturized Rattler designator currently in full scale production and implemented to date on numerous airborne and ground based programs. The Serpent-M also provides target hand-off to aircraft Laser Spot Trackers (LSTs). The system capitalizes the latest advances in laser generation and battery power technologies. The Serpent-M features a high power near infrared laser pointer for targeting operations during night time conditions.

Elbit Systems of America Laser Warning Systems (LWS) utilize both coherent and non-coherent laser sources. Our system is built on thorough understanding of the full scope of issues associated with each laser threat type and the systems engineering expertise necessary to accurately and reliably detect, locate and categorize these threats. The Elbit Systems of America LWS offer the full spectrum threat coverage, high dynamic range, direction indication for all threats, audio and visual warning, high probability of detection and low false alarm rate in addition to providing immunity to reflections from nearby objects, gun fire, lightning and fire.

Coral-CR now known as Emerald-RSTA is a high-performance, tripod mounted or hand-held Long-Range Day/Night Thermal Imaging System using a cutting edge camera and a cooled, highly sensitive 640x512 InSb Focal Plane Array thermal camera with continuous optical zoom, as well as 4X digital zoom. The Laser Range Finder, digital magnetic compass, and global positioning system allow generation of target coordinates to 10Km. The Emerald-RSTA also supports video out via standard BNC connector.

Coral-SD now known as Emerald-SD is a tripod mounted/hand held, high-performance, short range day/night thermal imaging system using a latest generation day camera and a cooled, highly sensitive InSb Focal Plane Array thermal camera. This system is used for special detection applications such as crowd control and check point security applications. Emerald-SD features an advanced high resolution detector, integral day CCD cameras, advanced high resolution color OLED display and an adjustable binocular viewer. It is ideal for short range surveillance and targeting, security and perimeter defense, installation security and target identification and confirmation.

MK II Family of Thermal Beacons utilize radiated blackbody and Infrared technology to signal friendly forces in the Near Infrared (NIR), Mid Wave Infrared (MWIR) and Long Wave Infrared spectrums. Thermal Beacon blackbody strobes are invisible to the naked eye, current night vision, and other infrared sensors outside the MWIR and LWIR ranges. The NIR strobes are visible using most night vision devices employed today. The battlefield applications of Thermal Beacon products are nearly limitless and range from Identification of Friend or Foe (IFF) to covert marking of strategic interests. Units are available in personnel worn, handheld, and vehicle born models and detection ranges vary from 2 km to 10 km depending on the model and the receiving sensor.

MK V Thermal Beacons provides foot mobile ground forces an effective, hand-held, fully ruggedized means of self identification to friendly forces using MWIR, LWIR and/or NIR systems. It is a wide spectrum thermal beacon suited to a number of applications such as: passage of lines; near-far signaling; and guidance of vehicles and aircraft. The MK-V is a reliable hand optical IFF providing positive force identification. It is light weight and fully complies with STANAG 2129. The unit also features signaling in the 3-5 µm and 8-12 µm, and optional signaling in the 0.8 um. It is currently in use by U.S. Armed Forces.
