Margvelashvili said this during a telephone conversation with Poroshenko, the Ukrainian president's press service reported on Tuesday.

"The president of Georgia has expressed the willingness to join the international humanitarian assistance mission, as Georgia in the past also became the target of aggression and understands the complexity of the situation in which Ukraine has found itself. During the conversation, the Georgian president expressed his concern about the situation in Donbas, and conveyed on behalf of the people of Georgia their condolences over the loss of human lives in Ukraine," the statement reads.

Margvelashvili also said that Georgia fully supported Ukraine in its fight for the territorial integrity and sovereignty.

In turn, Poroshenko on behalf of the Ukrainian people thanked Margvelashvili for the support of his country.
