The Russian Army has taken delivery of the first batch of new modernised BMD-4M airborne armoured fighting vehicle. Eight vehicles were handed to the manufacturer Kurganmashzavod and delivered to the 106th Guards Airborne Assault Division, where the BMD-4M will perform trial tests.

Rheinmetall Defence contract to provide support of German Army Training Centre GÜZ
 
Rheinmetall AG of Düsseldorf has won a major service contract from the German Bundeswehr worth around €70 million. Through to 2018, the Group will be responsible for providing contractor support for the complete exercise and training operations of one of the world’s most advanced military training facilities, the German Army Training Centre (GÜZ) in the Altmark region of Saxony-Anhalt.

Denel to deliver 17 Samil 20 truck-mounted ambulances for South African Medical Health Services

Stephan Burger, the CEO of Denel Land System says the ambulances form part of a R20-million contract for military ambulances, mounted on refurbished Samil 20 trucks. This follows a recent delivery of wide-body ambulances, based on the Casspir mine-protected vehicle, to the United Nations in Somalia.
