CIS members will perform live firing of S-300 PMU2 surface-to-air missile in August/September 2013.
In future joint military exercises, the CIS members (Commonwealth of Independent States) will perform real live fire with surface-to-air missiles S-300 PMU2, announced Saturday, August 10, 2013, the commander of one division of the Russian space and air defense Forces, the colonel Konstantin Oguienko on the radio Echo of Moscow.

"Two Russian regiments will participate for this exercises, including one equipped with missile system S-400. And one other unit equipped with ground-to-air S-300 PMU-2 Favorit missile which are in service with the Russian army and has never participated in live fire exercise, "said the colonel.

According to him, the exercise will also include live fire of surface-to-air missile Buk and S-300PS.

Joint exercises of CIS members take place once every two years. This time they will be held in August-September and will involve troops from Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Tajikistan.
