Army 2017: Uralvagonzavod will supply T-72 tanks spare parts to Kazakhstan |

Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation (UVZ, incorporated by Rostekh State Corporation) will supply T-72 tank spare parts to Kazakhstan, the UVZ press service reports. A relevant contract was signed at the Army-2017 forum.

"Active talks are underway at the Army-2017 forum in the interests of UVZ. An important event was the signing of a contract between AO Semey Engineering and AO Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation to supply spare parts for T-72 tanks in service with the Kazakhstan armed forces. The work will go on in the framework of military technical cooperation," an UVZ official said.
According to the press service, the Kazakhstan partners have also voiced their intention to create their own armor repair facility in Kazakhstan. As Alexander Potapov, the corporation director-general said, the Kazakhstan armor fleet consists mainly of dedicated machines manufactured by UVZ, due to which the transfer of the tank repair expertise becomes a pressing issue. "The UVZ integrated structure includes armor repair facilities having a huge expertise and superior skills in extending the armor service life," the press services quotes him as saying. |
