The 104th Aviation Regiment is an aviation regiment of the U.S. Army, primarily provided by the Army National Guard. Both battalions of the regiment are part of the 28th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade. 1st Battalion is an attack helicopter battalion in/of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

The 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment was formed in October 1990 at Fort Indiantown Gap as an Assault Helicopter Battalion. 2nd Battalion exchanged its Bell UH-1 Hueys (as an Aviation Battalion) for Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawks (as a General Support Aviation Battalion) in 2002.

A Chinook CH-47 is able to carry two Humvees inside of the helicopter. The high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee) is a tactical vehicle designed and produced by the American company AM General. In 1983, the US Army awarded a contract to AM General to manufacture 55,000 HMMWVs, of which 39,000 were for the US Army and the remaining vehicles for the US Marine Corps, US Air Force, and US Navy.

The HMMWV is a lightweight, diesel-powered, four-wheel-drive tactical vehicle built on the M998 chassis common to all of its configurations, allowing it to carry military equipment, including machine guns and anti-tank missile launchers.

The HMMWV has a gross vehicle weight of 3,500 g with a curb weight of 2,400 kg. The standard humvee has a length of 4.57 m, a width 2.13 m and a height of 1.82m. The vehicle can carry up to 4 military personnel and a cargo area is available at the rear of the vehicle.

The CH-47F is the latest variant in the Chinook helicopter family. It is an advanced multi-mission helicopter build for the U.S. Army and international defense forces. It contains a fully integrated, digital cockpit management system, Common Aviation Architecture Cockpit and advanced cargo-handling capabilities that complement the aircraft’s mission performance and handling characteristics.
