| Bulgaria and US to conduct joint military training with M1 Abrams tanks, IFVs and AFVs | |||
|
Bulgarian and US land forces will conduct joint military training at the Novo Selo training area between April 4 and May 16. JOINT TRAINING – 1 will take place in two stages, with around 250 US servicemen to participate in it, the Bulgarian defence ministry informs.

Military equipment, including M1 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armoured fighting vehicles are take part in the training.
The transportation of the military equipment and personnel will begin on Monday (April, 4). The aim of the planned joint training is to maintain the combat readiness of the Bulgarian army and to achieve greater operational compatibility with the NATO allies. Part of the US servicemen will also participate in a tactical training for the certification of a motorized infantry battalion of the Bulgarian land forces, which will take place between April 11 and 21.(novinite.com) |
