Gabon purchases a fleet of Maverick Internal Security Vehicles from Paramount Group
 

The government of Gabon has purchased a fleet of Maverick internal security vehicles from Paramount Group and successfully deployed them at the Africa Cup of Nations football tournament. Ten Mavericks were bought by the Gabonese authorities, who jointly hosted the football tournament with Equatorial Guinea, for deployment as public order vehicles at stadiums across the country during the competition.

Georgia conducted a test flight of its first domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, the Georgian Defense Ministry said in a statement. The French army will deploy to Afghanistan a new version of its wheeled armoured vehicle personnel carrier VAB designed and manufactured by Renault Trucks Defense, and the help of the technical offices of the French armed forces. The new VAB Ultima was upgraded in terms of protection, firepower and the needs of future individual soldiers equipment FELIN.

The Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau is preparing to hand over to its customer – the Ministry of Defence of Iraq – the second batch of BTR-4 8x8 wheeled combat vehicles.The BTR-4 was developed by the Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau. The first batch of BTR-4s intended for Iraq, consisting of 26 vehicles, was manufactured and delivered to the customer on 20 April 2011.

Czech Defense Minister Alexandr Vondra has suggested high tech arms exports could be exported to Vietnam. Vondra, on a two-day official visit to Vietnam as part of an Asian tour on which he has been accompanied by a large delegation of Czech arms producers, suggested that there was nothing to stop high-tech arms sales to the fast-developing country.

Engineering and construction conglomerate Larsen and Toubro and South Korea's Samsung Techwin Co Ltd have joined hands to produce K9 155mm self-propelled Howitzer artillery system for the Indian army.
