The defense confrontation system developed by the Chinese Company CASIC is a quick-response confrontation system combining the functions of reconnaissance and attack which adapts to modern war situations. It can integrate guided missiles and other combat strength within 500 kilometers in length and breadth to realize joint detection, joint defense and joint attack against the air, sea and land. It has the capability of multi-layer defense and multi-wave attack.

At AirShow China 2012, visitors can also see real FD-2000, China’s third-generation air-defense missile independently developed by the Chinese Company CASIC. As an outstanding missile in China’s third-generation medium-and-high altitude, medium-and-long range air-defense missile weapon system, FD-2000 has the capability for carrying out all-weather regional air-defense operations. The missile can intercept precision-guided weapons as well as jet aircraft, armed helicopter and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
