With a history dating back to 1980, the privately-owned South African OTT Group has built a record in the design, manufacture, modification, refurbishment, and worldwide lifecycle support of specialised military and security vehicle systems. The OTT Group of Companies was formed by consolidating three entities, OTT Technologies, ADG Mobility (ADGM) and LMT Products, which together offer a broad range of innovative products to the market.

Now the largest armoured vehicle production company in South Africa, the OTT Group boasts manufacturing facilities locally and in the United States of America. Having supplied more than 1,000 vehicles to customers for operations globally, including for United Nations missions, OTT enjoys a solid reputation for engineering excellence and battle-proven products.

As a Group, OTT has ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certification, testimony to its stringent and efficient manufacturing capabilities. OTT is registered with South Africa’s National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC) and is thus enabled to market, manufacture, and support several controlled items, including armoured personnel carriers (APCs) and their relevant subsystems.

The company continue to remanufacture and refurbish alongside the production of new armoured vehicles, adding a complimentary business stream in the supply of new and refurbished spare parts. In turn, in-house manufacturing has enabled OTT to further customise and distinguish its products beyond their most basic function, as Lewis affirms.
