The new OTT Technologies vehicle is based on the Brazilian light tactical vehicle Agrale Marruá built by Agrale in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Developed in early 2000s to serve as a replacement for ageing jeeps and other vehicles in Brazilian service, it has also been adopted by several other Latin American armies, and is used on peacekeeping missions with the United Nations in Haiti.

The Agrale Marrua M27 LAPV consists of an OTT M27 ballistic cab integrated on a Marrua AM200CD 4x4 chassis vehicle.

OTT designed and manufactures the M27 ballistic cab while integration of the cab on the Marrua AM200CD is done either at OTT in South Africa or Agrale in Brazil.

The Agrale Marrua M27 LAPV can be used by police, military, Peace Keeping Forces, security agencies and others as a patrol vehicle, liaison or commander’s rover vehicle, tactical command vehicle, incident command vehicle, escort vehicle or cash in transit vehicle.

The M27 LAPV can carry a total of five fully equipped soldiers including the driver.
