Slovenian company Valhalla Turrets unveils light tactical turret and RCWS at DSEI 2017.

This year at DSEI, Valhalla Turrets, a Slovenian Company specialized in the design and development of Remote Controlled Weapon Station and manned turrets systems, unveiled two new products: the ASGARD, a light tactical turret system and the MIDGARD RCWS.

The ASGARD Light Tactical Turret supports multiple weapons, including 30 mm weapons (30x113) and 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. The Asgard, which can be operated by one person in the turret or fully remote controlled from the vehicle, has been designed to provide ground fire support for light armored vehicle, MRAP and Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV). The Asgard is available in several configurations-depending on the customer's requirements, from semi-manual to fully remote controlled and stabilizing option.

The armament of the turret is composed of one main weapon - from 12.7 mm to 30 mm caliber and 40 mm grenade launcher as well - and one coaxial weapon - machine gun from 5,56 mm to 7,62 mm caliber. The turret is also equipped with 5 smoke grenade launcher tubes.

The MIDGARD Remote Controlled Weapon Station is a single or dual weapon RCWS, it can be operated by one person in the turret or fully remote controlled and supports up to 30 mm caliber weapons. With its light wheight (150 to 300 kg depending on the armouring level) and compact dimension (L 700 mm x W 650 mm x H 890 mm, the Midgard can be equipped on many types of armored vehicles : light 4x4 armoured vehicles, UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicles),...
